I celebrated my 21st birthday this past weekend and it was so fun! I spent it with close friends and family. I decided to share my experience with you all in pictures. You know what they say, "a picture is worth a 1000 words." Thanks for all the birthday wishes, enjoy the photos! (:

Cheetah Girl!

Express blazer & jeans, Scarf from New York, Kohl's boots, Steve Madden bag
South Florida winters can never compare to the brisk temperatures of NY but the minute the temperature drops, I look forward to adjusting my wardrobe to reflect the chill in the air. This tailored blazer from Express is just the right wardrobe choice for "cold" Miami weather. It fits me like a very well. Though the fit is slim and tailored, it is quite comfortable and doesn't hinder movement.
Paired with this cheetah scarf (a steal my sister found while in SOHO, NY last March...only five bucks) and brown boots, I was able to bring the entire outfit together through the common earth tones. How do you guys like my cold weather gear?

Express dress, Forever21 belt & necklace, Steve Madden flats
Last night I attended a valentine's dinner at my church. I had a great time with great people! My look for the night was pretty and casual. I added a nude belt to the dress to create balance and paired it with flats. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Trousers.

Zara trousers, Cotton On blouse, Forever21 necklace, Bakers oxfords
Ok, so I have a slight obsession with Zara trousers! One can find these in a variety of colors and prints and they are totally flattering on my body. These pants in particular have a hem that allows versatility. They can be worn cuffed into a shorter, tapered look or left long. They often come with a preppy little belt. Sometimes I tuck in my blouse to showcase the belt. Here, I paired tan colored oxfords to compliment the navy blue trousers. As well as a crisp white button down shirt--minus the sleeves. I added the necklace to enhance the gold from my belt of the buckle. This outfit is ideal for the classroom or a day out with friends. I wore this look to a youth bible study session and dinner with friends.
Thanks for reading! Xo -B
