Hey hey Stingers!
I had the opportunity of doing media coverage for Jazz in the Gardens this year and it was amazing! For those of you who may not know, Jazz in the gardens is a two day festival where people come from all over to enjoy live performances by various artist, delicious food, and great company. This is my first year attending/working the event so I wasn't sure what to expect. Everyone who was behind the scenes running around and making sure everything went smoothly were all so nice and helpful. Although the weather wasn't so great, being able to finally see people like Usher, Charlie Wilson and Janelle Monae was worth it.
Jazz in the Gardens was filled with so many highlights its hard to narrow it down. But if i must, here is a list of my top 5 favorite moments of Jazz in the Gardens!
Usher + Babyface
While Baby face performed "every little step," a familiar face jumped on stage and to everyone's surprise it was Usher. If that wasn't enough they ended the number with a very cool dance duo.
Babyface
I've seen Babyface once before in concert so I figured it would just be a repeat. Boy was I wrong, Babyface is such a renovator. He reminded us all that night that he still has it!
Janelle Monae
I have always been a fan of Janelle's music and let me tell you she didn't disappoint. Although it was raining badly while she was on stage she did her best to keep the crowd entertained. Janelle Monae was definitely worth the wet hair!
Charlie Wilson
Of course Charlie Wilson gave us a show, I didn't expect anything less. He is king of R&B and he made sure we didn't forget that.
Usher, Usher, Usher
Hats down to the man of the hour! Usher brought the house down with such an amazing performance! Words cannot even describe, you had to be there! He's such a great performer! That night it didn't matter where you were in the crowd he made everyone feel like they were up close and personal, including me! It is definitely an experience I will never forget!
If you didn't have a chance to attend this year, you honestly missed out! I'm not sure what the line up will be for next year but I'm sure of this; I will definitely be attending, and you should too!

Hey stingers, I'm hoping that everyone had a great week. I'm still recovering from one of the best weeks of my life. I had the opportunity of attending New York Fashion Week for the first time, like ever! The feeling that I experienced is indescribable. It's always been a short term goal of mine to have the opportunity to attend fashion week. Not only did I attend shows, I was able to cover shows as media/press on behalf of a company. I interviewed various designers, and also got access to witness all the chaos backstage. The weather was a little irritating because it played a huge role in how I had to get dressed. The temperature didn't go higher than 52 degrees while I was in NY, so you can only imagine how a Miami girl like me was feeling.
I'm really into monochromatic looks lately. There's just something so classic about the same color from head to toe. It almost looks uniformed. I love this shade of green, I bought both pieces separate and realized they paired perfectly. My snakeskin pumps are a recent purchase from Nine West. (I definitely plan on wearing them often!) My fury accessory was a big hit, I definitely think it completed the outfit perfectly. I'm honestly still in disbelief that I had a chance to attend fashion week. Can you believe just a month ago I was sitting here typing my goals for 2016 and one of them stated, "to attend fashion?" How crazy is that?? It just goes to show that when you truly start believing in the Lord and in yourself anything is possible! Stop thinking negative thoughts and thinking that, "that will never be me, I don't have what it takes.." because you do. Put out positivity and positivity will come right back to you. Trust in God, and the plan that He has over your life, because it's always going to be larger than the one you have for yourself.

I have a few go-to stores and Banana Republic is one of them. I can always find what I'm looking for and find pieces that work very well in my wardrobe. This midi skirt is no different. I paired it with a blue washed Jcrew button down along with a statement piece necklace.
How would you style this midi skirt? Feel free to leave a comment below I would love to hear your ideas. Thanks for stopping by!

Sundays kick off with the usual; I attend church with my family and I normally have to rush to work right after. It's nice when I get a Sunday off to relax. This past Sunday, I went out for brunch with a few girlfriends. We enjoyed great food, sipping mimosas, and good conversation. It's always interesting to get amongst other young woman who have different backgrounds, views, and personalities from me. We covered just about any and every topic and I just love how although we all aspire to be different things in life we respect one anothers' profession and support it. Ok, so lets rewind to the beginning on how we all got acquainted. We're all mutual friends with someone who connects us all together, one day all of us met over dinner and instantly clicked. Everyone was just very genuine, inviting, and we have been setting dinner dates ever since! I enjoy surrounding myself with positive individuals that like to shed love and light with the people around them. But you know what? It also begins with you. Whatever type of vibe you give off determines how people will react
and it also will determine the type of people you attract. Treat people with kindness and kindness will follow you; show people love and love will be shown back to you. We all encounter hundreds of people a day, sometimes more. Whether its the first time meeting, its someone you regularly see or a complete stranger you'll never see again... Always leave a little sparkle wherever you go!
